Ingredients
Scale
Cheese
- 12 oz Mozzarella Balls (You can substitute with cheese balls of similar size.)
Meat
- 6 oz Pepperoni Stick (Pre-sliced pepperoni saves preparation time.)
Produce
- 6 oz Kalamata Olives (Green olives can be used for a different look.)
- 1 medium Red Bell Pepper (You can use dried chili peppers for a spicy twist.)
Instructions
- Preparation: Gather all ingredients and necessary tools such as skewers and a cutting board.
- Create the eyeballs: Gently make small indents in each mozzarella ball to resemble eyes.
- Fill the eyes: Finely chop the kalamata olives and carefully place the pieces into the indents created in the mozzarella balls.
- Cut the pepperoni: Slice the pepperoni into 3/4 inch chunks for building the skewer and thin slices for decoration.
- Prepare the bell pepper: Slice the red bell pepper into wedge-shaped pieces suitable for threading.
- Assemble skewers: Thread each skewer starting with a red pepper piece, followed by a chunk of pepperoni, then a mozzarella ball with an olive ‘eye,’ and finish with a thicker slice of pepperoni at the bottom.
- Chill before serving: Refrigerate the assembled skewers for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld and to serve cool and fresh.

- Green olives can replace kalamata olives for a different appearance.
- Use dried chili peppers instead of red bell pepper for a spicier version.
- Pre-sliced pepperoni reduces preparation time.
- Chilling the skewers improves flavor and presentation.
