Shrimp:
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
Gochujang Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons gochujang (Korean chili paste)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 2 teaspoons sesame oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
Additional:
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
- Chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Mix Gochujang Sauce: In a bowl, whisk together gochujang, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
- Cook Shrimp: Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and cook for 2 minutes on each side until pink and opaque.
- Add Sauce: Pour the gochujang sauce over the shrimp and toss to coat evenly. Cook for an additional 1 to 2 minutes to thicken the sauce.
- Finish: Remove from heat, sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions. Serve over rice or noodles.
