Description

A refreshing and indulgent Salted Caramel Coffee served cold, combining strong brewed coffee, creamy milk, and rich salted caramel sauce for the perfect sweet and salty iced beverage.

Ingredients

Scale

Coffee Base

  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, chilled

Milk Mixture

  • ½ cup milk of choice (whole milk, oat, almond, etc.)
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1–2 tsp granulated sugar (optional, depending on sweetness preference)
  • Pinch fine sea salt (optional, for extra salted kick)

Toppings

  • 2–3 Tbsp salted caramel sauce (store‑bought or homemade)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Brew and chill coffee: Brew 1 cup of strong coffee using your preferred method and allow it to cool completely before preparing the drink.
  2. Mix milk mixture: In a glass or shaker, combine ½ cup milk of choice with ½ tsp vanilla extract, 1–2 tsp granulated sugar if desired, and a pinch of fine sea salt. Stir or shake until all ingredients are fully incorporated.
  3. Combine coffee and milk: Add the chilled brewed coffee to the milk mixture and stir or shake well until the mixture is evenly blended.
  4. Prepare serving glass: Fill a tall glass with ice cubes to chill the drink properly.
  5. Pour mixture over ice: Pour the coffee and milk blend over the ice cubes in the glass.
  6. Add salted caramel drizzle: Generously drizzle 2–3 tablespoons of salted caramel sauce over the top and around the inside edges of the glass for both flavor and presentation.
  7. Swirl or layer caramel: Gently stir to swirl the caramel throughout the drink, or leave the drizzle on top for a beautiful layered effect.
  8. Adjust sweetness: Taste the coffee and adjust the sweetness or amount of caramel sauce as preferred to achieve the perfect balance.

Notes

  • Use strong brewed coffee for a bold flavor that balances the sweetness of caramel.
  • The choice of milk can alter the creaminess and flavor; oat and almond milk are great non-dairy alternatives.
  • Adjust the salted caramel sauce quantity to make the drink sweeter or less sweet according to personal taste.
  • Adding a pinch of sea salt enhances the caramel flavor for a true salted caramel experience.
  • This drink is best enjoyed immediately while ice is fresh and cold.
  • Salted caramel sauce can be store-bought or homemade based on convenience and preference.
