Description

These Pumpkin Brownies are a delightful twist on traditional brownies, combining the rich, fudgy texture of a brownie with the warm, comforting flavors of pumpkin pie. Perfect for fall gatherings or anytime you’re craving a seasonal treat!

Ingredients

Scale

For the Brownie Batter:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Pumpkin Swirl:

  • 1/2 cup pumpkin puree
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease and line a 9×9-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Make the Brownie Batter: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, pumpkin pie spice, baking powder, and salt. In a separate bowl, mix the melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until well combined. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and stir until just combined.
  3. Prepare the Pumpkin Swirl: In a small bowl, combine the pumpkin puree, sugar, pumpkin pie spice, vanilla, and flour until smooth.
  4. Assemble the Brownies: Spread the brownie batter evenly into the prepared pan. Spoon dollops of the pumpkin swirl mixture on top of the brownie batter. Use a knife to gently swirl the pumpkin mixture into the brownie batter.
  5. Bake and Serve: Bake the brownies for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan before slicing and serving. Enjoy!

Notes

  • You can add chopped nuts or chocolate chips to the brownie batter for extra texture and flavor.
  • For a festive touch, sprinkle some cinnamon sugar on top of the brownies before baking.
