Description

Indulge in the delightful combination of sweet peaches and warm cinnamon with these homemade Peachy Cinnamon Rolls. Soft, fluffy rolls filled with juicy peaches, sugar, and spice, topped with a vanilla glaze – the perfect treat for breakfast or brunch.

Ingredients

Scale

Dough:

  • 1 package (1/4 ounce) active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm milk (110°F)
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Filling:

  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cups peeled and diced fresh peaches (or well-drained canned peaches)

Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm milk and let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. Stir in sugar, melted butter, egg, and salt. Gradually mix in the flour until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead on a floured surface for 5–7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour or until doubled.
  4. Punch down the dough and roll it out into a 14×9-inch rectangle. Spread the softened butter over the dough.
  5. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle evenly over the butter. Distribute diced peaches evenly across the top.
  6. Roll the dough into a log and cut into 12 equal slices. Arrange rolls in a greased baking dish. Cover and let rise again for 30–40 minutes.
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 25–30 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract for the glaze. Drizzle over warm rolls before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of nutmeg or a splash of peach juice to the glaze.
  • These rolls can be made ahead and refrigerated overnight before the second rise.
