Description

A delightful Peach Strawberry Crisp that combines the sweetness of fresh peaches and strawberries with a crispy oat topping. Perfect for a summer treat or a cozy dessert any time of the year.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruit Mixture:

  • 4 cups fresh peaches peeled and sliced (about 5–6 peaches)
  • 3 cups fresh strawberries hulled and halved
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Oat Topping:

  • 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted

Serving:

  • Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Prepare fruit: In a large bowl, combine peaches, strawberries, sugar, cornstarch, vanilla, and lemon juice. Toss to coat and transfer to a greased baking dish.
  3. Make topping: In another bowl, mix oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Add melted butter, stir until crumbly.
  4. Assemble: Sprinkle topping over fruit mixture.
  5. Bake: Bake for 35–40 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  6. Serve: Cool slightly before serving. Enjoy with ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

  • You can use frozen fruit, but thaw and drain before using to avoid excess liquid.
  • Add chopped pecans or almonds to the topping for extra crunch.
