- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
Pasta:
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 cups beef broth
- 1 cup barbecue sauce (smoky or hickory style)
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 12 ounces uncooked penne pasta
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

- Return steak to the pot, cook briefly, then stir in heavy cream and cheddar cheese until creamy. Let it rest before serving. Garnish with parsley.
Notes
- Use a smoky or hickory-style BBQ sauce for the best flavor.
- For a spicier version, add a pinch of cayenne or red pepper flakes.
- Swap the sirloin with ribeye or strip steak if desired.
