  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Fudge Layer:

  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. Mix Wet Ingredients: Cream together softened butter and brown sugar. Add eggs and vanilla extract.
  3. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, mix oats, flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to wet mixture.
  4. Prepare Base: Press most of oat mixture into pan.
  5. Make Fudge Layer: Melt condensed milk, chocolate, butter, salt. Add vanilla. Pour over base.
  6. Top with Oats: Sprinkle reserved oat mixture on fudge layer.
  7. Bake: Bake for 25–30 minutes until set. Cool before slicing.
