- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
For the glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 1–2 tablespoons milk (as needed for consistency)
Instructions
- Prepare the dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Add milk, butter, and egg. Knead until smooth. Let rise.
- Make the filling: Toss blueberries with sugar, lemon zest, and cornstarch.
- Roll and assemble: Roll out dough, spread filling, roll up, slice, and place in a baking dish to rise.
- Bake: Preheat oven, bake the rolls until golden brown.
- Glaze and serve: Whisk together powdered sugar, lemon juice, and milk. Drizzle over warm rolls.
Notes
- If using frozen blueberries, do not thaw them before mixing with the filling to prevent excess liquid.
- For an extra lemony twist, add a touch of lemon extract to the glaze.
