Description

Honey Baked Turkey Wings are tender, flavorful, and glazed with a sweet and tangy honey mixture. Perfectly seasoned and oven-baked to golden caramelized perfection, these wings make a delicious main dish that’s easy to prepare and serves four.

Ingredients

Scale

Turkey Wings

  • 4 large turkey wings

Seasoning

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Glaze

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a baking dish by greasing it or lining it with foil to prevent sticking and make cleanup easier.
  2. Prepare the Turkey Wings: Clean the turkey wings and pat them dry with paper towels. Place them in the prepared baking dish. Drizzle the olive oil over the wings and sprinkle evenly with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Rub the seasoning thoroughly into the wings to ensure every piece is well-coated.
  3. Bake Covered: Cover the baking dish tightly with foil to keep the moisture in and bake the wings for 1 hour, allowing them to cook through and become tender.
  4. Mix the Glaze: While the wings are baking, prepare the glaze by combining honey, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, melted butter, and apple cider vinegar in a bowl. Stir well until the ingredients are fully incorporated.
  5. Glaze and Bake Uncovered: After 1 hour, remove the foil from the baking dish and brush the wings generously with the honey glaze. Return the wings to the oven uncovered and bake for an additional 25-30 minutes. Brush the wings again halfway through baking to build up a sticky, caramelized coating.
  6. Rest and Serve: Once the wings are golden brown and caramelized, remove them from the oven. Let them rest for 5 minutes to allow the juices to redistribute. Serve hot and enjoy your delicious honey baked turkey wings.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, you can broil the wings for 2-3 minutes at the end, watching carefully to prevent burning.
  • Adjust the honey amount if you prefer a sweeter or less sweet glaze.
  • Use aluminum foil to line the baking dish for easier cleanup.
  • Make sure to baste the wings at least twice during the glaze baking process for maximum flavor.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
