Filling:

- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar

- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Prepare the filling: In a large bowl, toss the sliced apples with granulated sugar, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and lemon juice until evenly coated.
- Assemble the pie: Unroll one pie crust and place it into a 9-inch pie dish. Pour the apple filling into the crust, dot with butter, and cover with the second crust. Crimp the edges, cut slits, and brush with egg wash.
