- 1 (12-ounce) can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
- 1 cup cranberry juice
- 1/2 cup lime juice (freshly squeezed is best!)
Sodas and Additives
- 1 (2-liter) bottle lemon-lime soda
- 1 (12-ounce) bottle ginger ale
- 1/4 cup grenadine
- 2 cups water
- 1 (3-ounce) package orange-flavored gelatin
Optional and Garnishes
- 1 cup dry ice (optional, for a spooky effect)
- Gummy worms, plastic spiders, and other Halloween-themed candies for garnish
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- Dissolve Gelatin: In a medium saucepan, combine the orange-flavored gelatin and 2 cups of boiling water. Stir until the gelatin is completely dissolved.
- Cool Gelatin Mixture: Let the gelatin mixture cool completely in the refrigerator for about an hour, or until it starts to thicken slightly but does not set completely.
- Combine Pineapple Juice: In a large punch bowl or beverage dispenser, pour in the pineapple juice.
- Add Orange Juice Concentrate: Add the thawed orange juice concentrate and stir to combine.
- Incorporate Lemonade Concentrate: Add the thawed lemonade concentrate and stir well.
- Add Cranberry Juice: Slowly pour in the cranberry juice, tasting as you go to adjust the tartness to your preference.
- Add Lime Juice: Add the lime juice and stir to mix thoroughly.
- Mix in Gelatin: Gently stir in the cooled gelatin mixture to disperse it evenly without breaking it down too much.
- Add Grenadine: Stir in the grenadine to add sweetness and color.
- Add Lemon-Lime Soda: Gently pour in the lemon-lime soda, allowing it to fizz gently to keep the carbonation.
- Incorporate Ginger Ale: Add the ginger ale slowly to minimize foaming and preserve bubbles.
- Combine the Punch: Give the punch a gentle stir to combine all ingredients evenly.
- Chill the Punch: Refrigerate the punch for at least 2 hours, but preferably overnight to allow flavors to meld.
- Add Ice and Dry Ice: Before serving, add plenty of ice cubes for chill. Carefully add dry ice if using, following all safety instructions to create a spooky fog effect.
- Garnish: Garnish with Halloween-themed candies like gummy worms or plastic spiders for a festive look.
- Serve: Serve the punch immediately after adding ice and garnish for best presentation.
Notes
- Dry ice is optional but adds a fun spooky fog effect; always handle with gloves and follow safety instructions.
- Do not let the gelatin mixture fully set before mixing into the punch bowl to maintain a smooth texture.
- Adjust cranberry juice for tartness according to taste preferences.
- The punch is best served chilled and consumed the same day for freshness.
- Use fresh lime juice for the best flavor.
