Instructions
- Sauté Onions: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes until softened and translucent.
- Add Garlic: Stir in the minced garlic and cook for another 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Cook Ground Beef: Add the ground beef to the skillet. Break it up with a spoon and cook until browned and no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
- Incorporate Seasonings: Stir in the tomato paste, paprika, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper to evenly coat the beef mixture with flavor.
- Add Potatoes: Mix in the diced potatoes thoroughly to ensure they are coated with the seasoning and beef mixture.
- Simmer: Pour in the beef broth or water. Cover the skillet and reduce the heat to low. Let it simmer for 20 to 25 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the potatoes are tender.
- Reduce Liquid: Remove the lid and cook uncovered for another 2 to 3 minutes to allow any excess liquid to evaporate and thicken the mixture.
- Finalize and Serve: Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley if desired and serve hot.
