Description

Garlic Butter Steak Lightning Noodles is a quick and flavorful Asian-inspired dish featuring tender slices of steak tossed with buttery garlic noodles. This easy recipe is perfect for a delicious weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Steak:

  • 8 oz flank steak, thinly sliced

For the Noodles:

  • 8 oz ramen or rice noodles, cooked and drained

Other Ingredients:

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • Sliced green onions and sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, black pepper, and red pepper flakes; set aside.
  2. Cook the Steak: Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak slices for 1–2 minutes per side until just cooked through; remove and set aside.
  3. Sauté the Garlic: In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium, add butter and minced garlic, sauté for 30 seconds.
  4. Combine Ingredients: Add the cooked noodles to the skillet, pour in the sauce, and toss well to coat. Return the steak to the skillet and stir until heated through.
  5. Serve: Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • For best results, slice steak thinly against the grain.
  • You can substitute sirloin or ribeye if preferred.
  • Ramen noodles or rice noodles both work well.
