Description

This Easy Strawberry Mousse is a light, creamy, and refreshing no-bake dessert perfect for summer or any occasion. Made with fresh strawberries, whipped cream, and a hint of vanilla, this mousse combines a natural fruity sweetness with rich, airy texture. It’s simple to prepare and deliciously elegant, ideal for impressing guests or enjoying a quick homemade treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Strawberry Purée

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Whipped Cream Mixture

  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For Garnish (Optional)

  • Extra fresh strawberries

Instructions

  1. Cook the Strawberry Purée: In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the chopped strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice. Cook for 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the strawberries break down and become syrupy. Remove from heat and blend until smooth using an immersion blender or regular blender. Let the purée cool completely.
  2. Whip the Cream: In a large bowl, whip the heavy cream and vanilla extract with a hand mixer or stand mixer until stiff peaks form.
  3. Combine Mixtures: Gently fold the cooled strawberry purée into the whipped cream until fully combined and smooth, being careful not to deflate the whipped cream.
  4. Chill and Serve: Spoon the mousse into serving glasses or bowls and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to set. Garnish with fresh strawberries if desired before serving.

Notes

  • For a smoother texture, strain the strawberry purée before folding it into the whipped cream.
  • Frozen strawberries can be used; just thaw them completely before cooking.
  • This dessert is best served chilled and consumed within 1-2 days for freshness.
  • Adjust sweetness according to taste by modifying the amount of sugar.
