Description

This easy lasagna recipe is a classic family favorite, perfect for a comforting meal. Layers of lasagna noodles, savory meat sauce, creamy ricotta, and gooey cheese, baked to perfection.


Ingredients

Lasagna Noodles:

9 lasagna noodles

Meat Sauce:

1 tablespoon olive oil, 1 small onion (diced), 2 cloves garlic (minced), 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage, 1 (24 oz) jar marinara or tomato pasta sauce, 1 teaspoon dried basil, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Cheese Mixture:

15 oz ricotta cheese, 1 large egg, 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese, fresh parsley for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven:
  2. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

  3. Cook Noodles:
  4. Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions.

  5. Prepare Meat Sauce:
  6. Saute onions, garlic, and meat. Add sauce and seasonings. Simmer.

  7. Make Cheese Mixture:
  8. Combine ricotta and egg.

  9. Layer:
  10. Meat sauce, noodles, ricotta mixture, and cheese in a baking dish. Repeat layers.

  11. Bake:
