Pierogi Layer:

  • 1 (16-ounce) package frozen potato and cheese pierogies

Sausage Layer:

  • 14 ounces smoked sausage, sliced into rounds

Onion Layer:

  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced

Cheese Mixture:

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Garnish:

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Spray the crockpot: Spray the inside of the crockpot with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Mix the cheese mixture: In a medium bowl, combine sour cream, cream cheese, milk, garlic powder, and black pepper until smooth.
  3. Layer ingredients: Place half of the frozen pierogies in the crockpot, followed by half of the sausage, onions, shredded cheese, and dollops of the cream mixture. Repeat layers with remaining ingredients.
  4. Cook: Cover and cook on low for 4 hours or on high for 2 hours, until heated through and cheese is melted.
  5. Serve: Gently stir before serving and garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
