  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ cup tomato sauce
  • ¼ cup water

Additional Ingredients:

  • 10 small corn tortillas
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Oil for frying (about ½ cup)
  • Toppings: shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream, chopped cilantro, diced onions, salsa (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Ground Beef Filling: In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and cook until softened. Stir in garlic, then add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess grease. Season with chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper. Add tomato sauce and water, simmer for 5 minutes.
  2. Fry Tortillas: Heat oil in a skillet. Fry tortillas until crispy and golden on both sides.
  3. Assemble Tacos: Fill each crispy shell with seasoned beef, shredded cheese, and desired toppings.
