Instructions

  1. Beat Eggs and Sugar: In a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until light and slightly thickened, about 2–3 minutes.
  2. Add Wet Ingredients: Stir in the melted butter, vanilla extract, and anise extract if using.
  3. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder.
  4. Mix Batter: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  5. Cook Pizzelle: Preheat a pizzelle iron, drop batter onto molds, cook for 30–45 seconds until golden.
