Instructions
- Rinse Lentils: Rinse the lentils thoroughly under cold water to remove any debris or dust and set them aside.
- Sauté Vegetables: Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the diced onion, carrots, and celery, cooking until they become softened and slightly translucent.
- Add Garlic: Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute to release its aroma without burning it.
- Add Lentils and Broth: Mix in the rinsed lentils along with the vegetable broth, cumin, thyme, salt, and pepper.
