Description

These Chocolate-Dipped Easter Rice Krispie Treats are a delightful and festive dessert perfect for the holiday season. Crispy rice cereal treats dipped in rich chocolate and adorned with colorful pastel sprinkles make for a fun and delicious sweet indulgence.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Rice Krispie Treats:

  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 package (10 oz) mini marshmallows
  • 6 cups crisp rice cereal

For the Chocolate Coating:

  • 8 oz semi-sweet or milk chocolate, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother chocolate)
  • Pastel sprinkles for decoration

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Rice Krispie Treats: Line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper and lightly grease. In a large saucepan over low heat, melt butter. Add marshmallows and stir constantly until completely melted and smooth. Remove from heat and stir in rice cereal until fully coated. Press mixture evenly into prepared baking dish and let cool completely.
  2. Cut and Shape: Once set, cut into 12–15 rectangles or desired shapes using cookie cutters.
  3. Chocolate Coating: Melt chocolate with coconut oil (if using) in a microwave-safe bowl in 20–30 second intervals, stirring until smooth. Dip each rice krispie treat halfway into the melted chocolate, letting excess drip off.
  4. Decorate and Set: Place on a parchment-lined baking sheet, add pastel sprinkles, and let sit at room temperature until chocolate is set.

Notes
