Description

Indulge in this delicious Chicken Avocado Melt Sandwich that combines creamy avocado, tender chicken, gooey cheese, and fresh veggies all grilled to perfection in a golden sourdough bread crust.

Bread:

  • 2 slices sourdough bread

Spread:

  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise

Filling:

  • ½ ripe avocado (sliced)
  • ½ cup cooked shredded chicken breast
  • 2 slices tomato
  • 2 slices Monterey Jack or provolone cheese

Additional:

  • 1 tablespoon butter (for grilling)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Bread: Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice of bread.
  2. Assemble the Sandwich: Layer avocado slices on the non-mayo side of one slice. Mash lightly, season with salt and pepper. Add chicken, tomato, and cheese. Top with the second slice of bread, mayo side out.
