Bread:
- 2 slices sourdough bread
Spread:
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
Filling:
- ½ ripe avocado (sliced)
- ½ cup cooked shredded chicken breast
- 2 slices tomato
- 2 slices Monterey Jack or provolone cheese
Additional:
- 1 tablespoon butter (for grilling)
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Bread: Spread mayonnaise on one side of each slice of bread.
- Assemble the Sandwich: Layer avocado slices on the non-mayo side of one slice. Mash lightly, season with salt and pepper. Add chicken, tomato, and cheese. Top with the second slice of bread, mayo side out.
- Grill the Sandwich: Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the sandwich for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese is melted. Slice and serve warm.
