Description

This Cheeseburger Bowl recipe is a delicious low-carb alternative to traditional burgers, featuring seasoned ground beef, fresh lettuce, cheese, and a flavorful copycat Big Mac sauce. Ready in just 35 minutes, these bowls are perfect for a quick, satisfying meal without the bun.

Ingredients

Scale

Big Mac Sauce

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup dill pickle relish
  • 2 tablespoons finely minced white onion (or dried minced onion)
  • 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Burger and Bowl

  • 1/2 cup diced white onion
  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Chopped romaine lettuce
  • Freshly grated cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)
  • Sliced cherry tomatoes
  • Sliced dill pickles
  • Cooked potato wedges or French fries
  • Sliced red onion (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Big Mac Sauce: In a medium bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, dill pickle relish, minced onion, yellow mustard, paprika, and garlic powder until smooth and well combined. Cover and refrigerate while you prepare the other components.
  2. Cook the Ground Beef: Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced white onion and ground beef. Cook, stirring and crumbling the beef frequently, until it is fully cooked through and no longer pink. Drain any excess grease from the skillet.
  3. Season the Beef: Lower the heat to low. Season the cooked beef with salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Stir well and continue cooking for an additional 5 minutes to allow flavors to meld.
  4. Assemble the Bowls: Evenly distribute the cooked ground beef into four medium-sized bowls. Add chopped romaine lettuce, grated cheddar cheese, sliced cherry tomatoes, sliced dill pickles, cooked potato wedges or French fries, and sliced red onion if using.
  5. Finish with Sauce and Serve: Drizzle the prepared Big Mac sauce generously over each bowl. Serve immediately and enjoy your cheeseburger bowls!

Notes

  • You can substitute dried minced onion for fresh minced onion in the sauce if preferred.
  • Use lean ground beef to reduce grease and keep the bowls lighter.
  • Feel free to customize the toppings to your taste, such as adding jalapeños or avocado slices.
  • Preparing the Big Mac sauce ahead of time enhances the flavor as it chills.
  • This recipe works well for meal prep; assembly can be done fresh before eating.
