For the Skillet:

  • 1 small head green cabbage, chopped (about 6 cups)
  • 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
  • 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Heat Skillet: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Cook Meat and Onions: Add ground beef and onion, cook until browned and onion is softened.
  3. Add Flavors: Stir in garlic, then add cabbage, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, paprika, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper. Simmer covered for 20-25 minutes.
  4. Finish Dish: Stir in cooked rice, Worcestershire sauce, cook for 5 more minutes. Garnish with parsley before serving.
