For the Skillet:
- 1 small head green cabbage, chopped (about 6 cups)
- 1 can (15 ounces) tomato sauce
- 1 can (14.5 ounces) diced tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Heat Skillet: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Cook Meat and Onions: Add ground beef and onion, cook until browned and onion is softened.
- Add Flavors: Stir in garlic, then add cabbage, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, paprika, oregano, thyme, salt, and pepper. Simmer covered for 20-25 minutes.
- Finish Dish: Stir in cooked rice, Worcestershire sauce, cook for 5 more minutes. Garnish with parsley before serving.
