Description

These Breakfast Sliders are a delicious and easy-to-make breakfast or brunch option perfect for feeding a crowd. Featuring fluffy scrambled eggs, savory bacon or sausage, melted cheese, and soft slider buns, they’re brushed with butter and baked to golden perfection. Customize with optional toppings like avocado, sautéed spinach, or hot sauce for extra flavor.

Ingredients

Scale

Sliders

  • 12 slider buns or Hawaiian rolls, sliced in half
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 8 slices cooked bacon or breakfast sausage patties
  • 6 slices cheddar or American cheese
  • 2 tbsp melted butter (for brushing)

Optional Toppings

  • Sliced avocado
  • Sautéed spinach
  • Hot sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare Baking Dish: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper to prevent sticking.
  2. Make Scrambled Eggs: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and black pepper until combined. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in a nonstick skillet over medium heat, then pour in the egg mixture. Cook gently, stirring frequently, until the eggs are just set but still moist. Remove the pan from heat.
  3. Assemble Sliders: Place the bottom halves of the slider buns evenly in the prepared baking dish. Layer each with the scrambled eggs, cooked bacon or sausage slices, and cheese slices. If using optional toppings like avocado, sautéed spinach, or hot sauce, add them now. Top with the remaining slider bun halves.
  4. Brush and Bake: Brush the tops of the slider buns generously with the 2 tablespoons of melted butter. Cover the dish loosely with aluminum foil and bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Then remove the foil and continue baking for another 3 to 5 minutes until the tops are golden brown and the cheese is melted thoroughly.
  5. Serve Warm: Remove from the oven and serve the breakfast sliders warm. They are perfect for a quick breakfast, brunch, or feeding a crowd at gatherings.

Notes

  • To make ahead, assemble the sliders the night before, cover with foil or plastic wrap, and refrigerate. Bake fresh the next morning as directed.
  • These sliders also freeze well. Wrap each individually and store in the freezer. Reheat in the oven or microwave before serving.
  • For a vegetarian option, use meatless sausage or omit the meat entirely for a simple egg and cheese slider.
  • Customize with your favorite cheeses or additional vegetables for added flavor and nutrition.
