Ingredients
Scale
For the Blackberry Syrup:
- 1 cup fresh blackberries
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
For the Lemonade:
- 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 4–6 lemons)
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice cubes
- Fresh lemon slices and mint for garnish
Instructions
- Make the Blackberry Syrup: In a small saucepan, combine the blackberries, sugar, and 1 cup water. Simmer over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves and blackberries break down. Mash gently, then strain through a sieve.
- Prepare the Lemonade: Mix the blackberry syrup with lemon juice and cold water. Adjust sweetness, chill, and serve over ice. Garnish with lemon slices and mint.
Notes
- For sparkling blackberry lemonade, replace half the cold water with club soda.
- You can blend the blackberries instead of straining for a pulpier drink.
