  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1/4 cup reserved pasta water
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve 1/4 cup pasta water and drain.
  2. Prepare the Sauce: Sauté onion in olive oil until soft. Add garlic, then brown ground beef. Season with oregano, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir in crushed tomatoes and tomato paste; simmer.
  3. Combine: Add cooked pasta and reserved water to the sauce. Mix well. Stir in Parmesan and garnish before serving.
