- 1 pound flank steak or sirloin, thinly sliced against the grain
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
For the Stir-Fry Sauce:
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Other Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 medium yellow onions, thinly sliced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
- 2 green onions, sliced for garnish
- Steamed rice for serving
Instructions
- Prepare the Beef: In a bowl, mix beef slices with 1 tablespoon soy sauce and cornstarch. Let it sit for 10 minutes.
- Make the Stir-Fry Sauce: Combine remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, and black pepper in a bowl.
- Cook the Beef: Sear beef in oil until browned. Remove from pan.
- Stir-Fry: Cook onions, garlic, and ginger until softened. Add beef back with sauce. Stir-fry until beef is cooked through.
- Serve: Garnish with green onions and serve over steamed rice.
