Description

This Bang Bang Salmon recipe is a flavorful dish that combines the richness of salmon with a spicy and sweet bang bang sauce. Perfect for a quick and delicious dinner!

Ingredients

Scale

    Salmon:

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Bang Bang Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon lime juice
  • Garnish:

  • sliced green onions and sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven and prep salmon: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Season salmon fillets with salt and pepper.
  2. Sear the salmon: Heat olive oil in a skillet, sear salmon fillets skin-side down for 2 minutes, then flip and sear for 1 more minute.
  3. Bake the salmon: Transfer salmon to the baking sheet and bake for 6–8 minutes until cooked through and flaky.
  4. Make the bang bang sauce: Mix mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, and lime juice in a bowl.
  5. Finish and serve: Drizzle the sauce over the cooked salmon, garnish with green onions and sesame seeds, and serve hot.

Notes

  • For a lighter version, use Greek yogurt instead of mayonnaise.
  • Adjust sriracha amount to control spiciness.
  • This sauce pairs well with shrimp or chicken too.
